The pup in this video is showing off a doggie smile, also known as a submissive grin. This behavior isn't seen frequently in dogs, and whenever I find a dog who "smiles" in the shelter I'm very excited. Some people think this is a dog's attempt to smile the way we do, others say it is used as a submissive behavior similar to when we smile when nervous or embarrassed. What do you think? Here's another great doggie dancing routine! What song would you like to perform with your dog? Let us know in the comments below! "Does your dog really want to be petted?" We love to pet our dogs, and most of the time, they love it, too. However, sometimes dogs need breaks, and some dogs don't like to be pet by new people. Next time you are petting your dog or playing with a dog at a friend's house, try thinking about this video and "ask" the dog if she wants you to keep petting her. Nana the dog and Kaiser the cat are showing off their tricks. Who do you think is the winner? Post your vote in the comment section below. This dog has a great shot!. What sport do you want your dog to play with you? Let me know in the comments section below. I got to spend last weekend at an amazing conference all about clicker training, called ClickerExpo! One of the presenters showed this amazing video of what one person taught her mice to do using a clicker. If you have a mouse, and want to try clicker training yours, she has instructional videos on her page as well. If you give it a shot, let us know how it goes on our comments below. I'm not a big fan of commercials, but when the canine stars show off great training, I have to give them props! This might be the best use of the trick "Speak!" I've seen. One of my clients just sent me this video of Jesse the helpful Jack Russell Terrier. He showed up on the blog a while back with his first Useful Dog Tricks video. What would you like your dog to be able to do for you around the house? Let me know by clicking on "Comments!" This is Maru, a very playful cat in Japan who loves boxes.
